"Dragracing"

Kim is launching hard, and pulls his frontwheels in the air !!. 

This oval dragcar was made by Kim in the late 80's.The car was running a high output 1835 T1 engine (" I've heard that engine live,- and believe me, it was a real screamer !!" Quote Griebel.) 

Holstebro 1989. Kim races another Danish profile, Dan Petersen. 

Smoking the tires !! Kim ran a lot of 12 sec. races with this car, and after crashing it, he lend the engine to Dan, who ran the buggy's best time ever, 11,67 sec.Being a " Type 4 man" Dan was'nt happy that this E.T. was set with the aims of the "small" T1 :) 

Ready for Hochenheim, Germany. Quite a trip with this setup !! Alone, no radio,and doing 90km/h at full throttle. 

This picture was taken during a BUG-RUN meeting in Sweeden (Mantorp Park). Kim broke his gearbox, and the guys from "Copenhagen Aircoolers" borrowed the car for some "bug-push",-and won !! :)

Oh, what a sad picture. The car flipped 3 times on the roof ( doing 160 km/h over the finish line.)The front axeltubes was broken in two spots,the rear axels bend,the center of the rim ripped out, hole in the roof, well everything destroyed exept the engine and gearbox, which was later sold to a guy in Sweden. I'm happy to say that Kim, here in 2005, is still racing. He owns a 14 sec. oval streetbug ( CHECK IT OUT HERE ) and a very nice Karmann Ghia.
